The Richardson Eagles are having a very impressive season so far with an overall record of 13-1 and 6-0 in District Play. The Point Guard:
2022 6’3 PG Cason Wallace • Richardson
2022 PG Cason Wallace is the type of lead guard that affects the game in a variety of ways and can make plays for others or himself and is most valuable when he is at the top of the key offensively as well as defensively. He is poised and skilled with the rock and can make good decisions off of the pick and roll where he can find the roller with precise passes, take the big man off the switch or hit jumpers off the bounce if the defender goes under. Defensively he is a menace who use his long arms athleticism and quickness to keep people from getting by him. He is one of few Elite guards that dedicates as much effort on defense as he does on offense which is one of the reasons he is considered a Five Star by multiple National Ranking Sites.
The Shooting Guard:
2022 6’5 SG Rylan Griffin • Richardson
2022 SG Rylan Griffen is a long lean guard who can hit shots from deep and if you close out wrong he will rip right by you for above the rim finishes. He has good athleticism and length which is ideal for his position and just like his backcourt mate Cason Wallace he plays with alpha dog mentality on both ends of the floor. The Four Star Griffen is off to a great start this season and showing that he is one of top scoring guards in the country.
Conclusion
Wallace and Griffen games both compliment each other nicely and it’s hard to game plan for them because they can both beat you and multiple ways and have a talented supporting cast and guys like big man Gannon Parker, athletic guard Dequinton Williams and speedy guard Jaylon Barnett who are all college prospects who have all contributed to the Eagles success so far this year.
